Feet in Fleet Reflexology
I am a Professional Reflexologist providing preconception, pregnancy and post-natal care.
I am extremely passionate about the work that I do and feel very privileged to have such a wonderful job – it really is so rewarding!! As a reproductive reflexologist, I help couples to either prepare for conception, or to help couples who are struggling to conceive. One hopes that this then leads to maternity reflexology – such a pleasure to see mama completely relax for an hour whilst ‘bump’ wriggles away!
Pregnant ladies usually find that reflexology helps with the so-called pregnancy niggles – nausea, heartburn, back pain, hip/pelvic pain, sinus issues. It also promotes good circulation and can help with sleep problems, anxiety and very importantly, hormone imbalance. Baby also gets the benefits of reflexology and will certainly benefit from your ‘time-out’. What a wonderful way to bond with your baby before he or she is born.
If you are keen to avoid induction, reflexology may help to encourage the onset of labour. If baby is ready to be born, the total relaxation and working of certain reflexology reflexes can facilitate the journey into labour in a totally natural way. Reflexology cannot ‘force’ the body to anything it doesn’t want to, so it is not therefore considered an intervention.
Research by Dr Gowri Motha has shown that women who have regular reflexology throughout their pregnancy, tend to have shorter labours with less pain relief!
Massage2Nurture with Sarah Batey
Does pregnancy leave you feeling like a beached whale with morning sickness? Tired, achy, emotional, sad, happy, unsure?
Does your newborn seem to be unsettled, unhappy, constipated, or just seem to love the sense of touch?
Perhaps I can help.
As a Mum of two, and a trained massage therapist since 1998, I am trying to blend my massage skills and my newly acquired knowledge since becoming a Mum.
My pregnancies, although straightforward, saw me approaching life in very different emotional states, and perhaps consequently I had two very different newborns to learn with.
During my pregnancies, if I had known a massage therapist trained in pregnancy massage, I would certainly have used them. Especially if, as in massage2nurtures case, I could have had treatment in the luxury of my own home. My background in sports rehabilitation and massage expects me to have excellent knowledge of anatomy and soft tissue injuries. During pregnancy, although not injured, your muscles, ligament and joints are under great stress as your body shape changes and adapts for baby to grow. So why not treat yourself to some TLC? It may just help you to unwind, alleviate stress, aid sleep and give you some “me time” to prepare for the excitement that lies ahead.
Once baby arrives, as well providing a very welcome support session, perhaps it is babes turn for massage.
I attended baby massage classes with my first born, and I admit I was sceptical that I would need guidance in massaging MY baby, being that I was already a trained masseur of many years. However it gave me the time to connect and bond with him, and taught me many new strokes that I would never have performed otherwise. His colic and constipation eased, and we continued the sessions at home to great effect. Once my daughter arrived I started to apply my skills to her, not to relieve any symptoms, as she was a very settled baby, but simply to enhance her love of touch.
If you feel you would like help with your pregnancy, or with your newborn, please feel free to contact me. I will travel and do home visits within a 5 mile radius of Camberley at no additional cost. If there are a group of you requiring training in baby massage that can be a cheaper alternative to my services. Click here for more information.
I look forward to meeting you,
Daisy First Aid Bracknell and Camberley
My name is Kirsty and I run Paediatric First Aid classes teaching parents, carers and children in Bracknell, Camberley and the surrounding areas (postcodes GU11, GU12, GU14, GU15, GU16, GU17, GU18, GU19, GU20, GU21, GU24, GU25, GU51, GU52, TW20, SL5, RG12, RG42).
Although I am not a parent myself, I am auntie to 2 gorgeous nephews and ’Fairy Godmother’ to many of my friends’ children. I have been a children’s nurse for 13 years with experience working in a variety of ward and community settings with children from ages 0-19. Although we can’t prevent accidents happening I would love everyone to have first aid training as it gives parents, and any other significant carers looking after precious bundles of joy, vital knowledge and skills but, most importantly, the confidence to know what to do should they find themselves in an emergency situation.
I am passionate about Daisy First Aid aiming to achieve this and believe that the way in which training is delivered in a clear and succinct way ensures that parents and carers are given the relevant information that they require but in a relaxed and friendly environment.
Classes cover management of a conscious/unconscious casualty, recovery positions, CPR, choking, meningitis, anaphylaxis, seizures, burns, bleeding and much more.
These fun, friendly and relaxed first aid classes are ideal for parents, or soon to be parents, grandparents, aunties, uncles, god parents and any other significant carers.
I offer to host the 2 hour award winning Daisy First Aid paediatric training classes for 4 or more people in the comfort of your own home, allowing you to learn together with extended family members and friends, and I arrange classes on a day and time to suit you (including evenings and weekends).
I also run venue classes across the areas, the details of which can be found by accessing https://bookwhen.com/kirstylawrence
Classes cost just £25 per person and babies under one are welcome to join us so you have no need to worry about childcare.
For those of you with children aged 7-12 I can also arrange to run ‘Daisy Buds’ and ‘Daisy Heroes’ classes whether that be within the home or school setting.
